Jackson, our sweet and spunky four year old, had a "tummy ache" that wouldn't go away. After many tests and scans they uttered the words,"This is cancer."--our worst nightmare had begun. He was diagnosed with stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer with only about 350 diagnoses per year in the US. He faces over a year of intense treatment in hopes that this beast goes away and doesn't come back. Our hope is that no family ever has to live through this. Thank you for your support.

Every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's about 700 new kids affected every day. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.
