After 5 years of unsuccessful attempts to get into the NYC Marathon via the lottery system, I finally got lucky and received my automatic entry this year. Unfortunately for me it's been 5 years since my first and only marathon (3:55 PR), and with my old nagging college football injuries getting worse I have barely run any long distance in the last two years (getting old stinks).
I needed to find a little extra motivation to get my butt back in shape and complete this thing in a respectable manner, so I decided I'm going to run and fundraise to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! I've made a lofty goal for Alex's as motivation to keep me going through what will be a painful training with my back and knee issues. You can join me by helping me plan this event, attending my event, or making a donation right to this page. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
