Hi friends! I did a big exciting thing-- I registered to run the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon! What's even more exciting is that I registered to run with Alex's Lemonade Stand, a charity whose mission is to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. So before I make my way to Orlando to run 13.1 miles with some of my closest friends, I have to raise $1,000 for a cause near and dear to my heart.

I chose to run with this organization because one of my best friends fought and beat cancer TWICE before she even turned 10 years old. I'm running and raising money in honor of Caroline, who was diagnosed with A.L.L. Leukemia at the age of 2, when she underwent a year and a half of chemo. She then relapsed at 6 years old and received a cord blood transplant. She's been in remission for 19 years (!!) and you would never know that this bright light of a personality went through hell and back twice. She's one of the strongest people I know-- a fighter with such a sweet and carefree soul.
