Welcome to the LAAA Loves Lemonade 2017 website! Las Américas ASPIRA Academy is committed to providing a project based education for our students. This year, for the first time ever, 4th grade is teaming up with 2nd grade to raise money for childhood cancer research! Fourth grade is focusing on the production and distribution of goods and services. They will learn about the economic market of supply and demand to produce YELLOW goods that will be sold by our second grade students who will be practicing their mathematical skills such as measuring volume and counting money! All proceeds will be given to the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The whole school is encouraged to join the effort in support of childhood cancer research. There are many ways to get involved:
Order a $10 t-shirt for your child or the whole family to wear! Order forms will be sent home on Monday, May 8th and collected on Wednesday, May 17th.
Purchase yellow products made by the fourth grade students during lunch time starting Monday, May 22nd - Thursday, May 25th.
Purchase a cup of lemonade for 50 ₵ at the spring carnival on Friday, May 25th.
Sponsor a hero by donating to your class’ “Box Full of Sunshine”. Information coming home soon.
