It's been hard getting back into running. I'll have a great run, followed by a grueling run. When I don't do my warm-up and stretching, my knees ache and I can't run for a few days. But then I remember that I don't have to battle with the side effects of childhood cancer and that my children do not have cancer. I think about all those I know that have had tumors removed, that have gone through chemo, and those who lost the battle to cancer. If they can endure the worst, then I can get up and go for a run.
