Q: What is Alex’s Million Mile – Run.Walk.Ride.?

A: Alex’s Million Mile is a month-long virtual event during September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month). The goal is to collectively run, walk and/or ride one million miles to raise funds and increase awareness of the need to support childhood cancer research.

Q: Where will Alex’s Million Mile take place?

A: This is a worldwide event! You can run, walk or ride wherever your feet, bike or wheelchair take(s) you.

Q: Is this a marathon, 5K or race of some kind? I'm not a runner!

A: No, no and no! While you are welcome to challenge yourself physically this is not an athletic event! Everyone can participate at their own comfort and ability level. One person might log 1 mile with the aid of a walker and another might log 1000 miles with a bike. So far, most on this team have commited to walking 20 - 100 miles each. 

Q: Does it cost anything to sign up?

A: There is no fee to sign up and no minimum fundraising requirement.

Q: Who can sign up?

A: Anyone!
