Although Alex Scott lost her battle with neuroblastoma shortly after embarking on her first nationwide campaign to raise money for pediatric cancer research, her legacy continues. Alex's spunk and spirit continue to serve as an inspiration to all.
Within the short span of a year’s time our family had the misfortune of learning that three members of our family had cancer. Our nephew, Jacob Mozer, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the tender age of 16 months. Shortly thereafter we learned that my mother, Norma Himmelberg, had breast cancer and my cousin, Michael Ingalls, had esophageal cancer. In 2006 our family was struck once again by cancer, as Mike's father was diagnosed and passed away from leiomyosarcoma. Having seen firsthand the impact cancer has on families, our family is moved to do what we can to help further cancer research. As such, we will be climbing the stairs to the top of the tallest building in Texas...Chase Tower in Houston. All monies raised will enable Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation to move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer!
If you would like to join us in helping to find a cure for childhood cancer, please click on the "Donate" button. It is our hope that through supporting such causes as Alex’s Lemonade Stand, cancer can be eradicated, and other families spared the agony of watching their loved ones battle this disease.
Thank you for helping us find a cure for childhood cancer...one step at a time!
