I am the kicker at Lake Catholic in Mentor, Ohio. Although football is just a game we play, and enjoy to watch, together through football we can change the lives of others. Every kick I make can not only benefit my team, but with pledges it can also benefit a kid struggling somewhere in the world. As a sophomore, I witnessed what childhood cancer can do to a community. A senior, Riley Pearson, attending Mentor High School, was diagnosed with cancer and had inspired our school, and surrounding schools, to unite by wearing purple in her honor. Seeing the movement of this, I was searching for a way to get involved to help raise money. In honor of her and others like her, I would like to dedicate my senior year to raising money to help fight childhood cancer.
There are unfortunately many more people like Riley and through your generous donation or pledge, you can be an advocate of finding a cure for cancer so young children, like Riley, do not have to suffer through this devastating emotional and physical impacts of cancer. Thank you for your consideration and generosity
