When I was 4 years old my mom was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Following my mom's cancer diagnosis , our lives changed dramatically as she underwent a year of chemotherapy and radiation. Today I am very thankful that she is healthy and has been in remission now for almost 13 years. I know how much cancer affected me and numerous others in my life, and I want to do whatever I can to help others going through it as well.
This year, I want to do something to give back to everyone who is fighting against cancer in their lives. I am dedicating my senior football season to kids with cancer as a Kick-It Champion. Starting with our first game on September 8, I will accept donations and pledges for every point I score during the 2017 football season.
All donations received will benefit childhood cancer research through Kick-It, powered by Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
I am asking for pledges of $1 for every point. My goal is to score 50 points this season and I hope to raise as much money as possible.
