Oakstead Elementary helps Kick Cancer out of Kids Lives

Kaitlyn Brooke Jenkins was a second grade student at Oakstead Elementary School when she was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer on December 14, 2010. Despite her courageous fight, Kaitlyn at the age of 8 passed away on October 31, 2011. All that knew Kaitlyn agreed that she had a heart for helping and caring for others. In Kaitlyn's memory, we are hosting an event to make more people aware that cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children, and while doing so, raise funds for research leading to a cure. All funds will go to CureSearch for Children's Cancer.
