Hi my name is Nicholas Funkhouser, you may know my mom or dad, Mirna Malinar-Funkhouser or Mark. I am a 6th grader at SMCC/Sandusky Central Catholic School. I am trying to raise $1000 for KICK-IT a national fundraiser for cancer research this weekend. Donations can be taken online for the next 2 weeks also and are tax deductible. Please help me reach my goal , even a donation of $5.00 will help me do that. About me, I love football and basketball, I am a boyscout and my mom takes us boating all summer and we play on the lake. I even know how to drive it, this year I hope to learn to dock the boat . I LOVE raising money for charity and doing events like this becuase they are fun and they help people. Next year I start junior high and am excited. This summer I am going to the Boyscouts National Jamboree in WV, one day we spend doing community service in the mountains planting trees and helping people fix their houses.. Me and my friends are even trying to put together a summer camp and movie night to raise money for MS at our house outside. But cancer has hurt alot of my family and my friends and moms friends....this event is dedicated to Sammy Smith. It was really nice she was able to come to the event and toss out the first ball today even though she is battling cancer..
