On March 6, 2018 our son, Dylan, was diagnosed with Leukemia. For the next two months, Dylan underwent intensive chemotherapy, leaving his body too weak to walk up a flight of stairs and an immune system unable to stop the common cold. Today Dylan is in remission, though we know cancer comes back. That means Dylan will continue with chemo for another six months.
The odds of surviving Leukemia stand at 90%. This means 10% of impacted families will face dire circumstances. Make no mistake, the Leeder family considers ourselves lucky.
On Thursday, May 31, our family is joining forces with Dylan's school to host a lemonade stand and carnival. Our intent is threefold:
- Empower the school’s children so that they understand how to make positive change
- Raise money to fund the battle against childhood cancer
- Foster community awareness
Your donation will make a difference in the lives of kids/families impacted by cancer. Moreover, a portion of your donation provides financial assistance towards travel expenses for pediatric cancer families.
Please consider donating to Team Dylan!
