Our son Spencer is a 14+ year cancer survivor. He was diagnosed shortly after his second birthday with Stage III Rhabdomyosarcoma. He went through 10 life-changing months of chemotherapy, 20 days of radiation, two surgeries, 17 blood transfusions, and more pokes than we can count. He finished treatment just a few days before his third birthday. We've lost too many dear little friends to childhood cancer along the journey. So, we feel deeply and very personally about the importance of cancer research for kids. Childhood cancers are severely underfunded, and some treatments haven't changed/improved in 30 years, and some still have almost no survival rates. We'd like to do our part to change that.
