I have always had a soft spot for others that have to face adversity at such a young age. It started at St. Thomas’s annual football Challenger game. I love to interact with the kids, and I wondered how I could do more. With Kick-It Champions, I have a platform to help kids with cancer who are stronger and more courageous than most of us. I hope that whoever is reading this feels the same way and will help me reach and exceed my goal of $1,000. It may seem like a small goal for our community, but in total Kick-It Champions has raised $150 million for childhood cancer and has funded more than 800 research projects at 135 institutions.
