Hey Friends! You might have wrongly believed that we decided not to do the lemonade stand this year...NOPE! We have just been blissfully busy with summer travel. As a result, this year we will be having Fionny's Annual Lemonade Stand in September which is actually pretty dang appropriate given that it's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This year's stand will be on September 15th from 2-4 pm at our house at 10547 St. Paul St. in Kensington, MD. Come for cookies and lemonade. Feel free to stay and play. Grownups, we will have beers in the fridge! :-)

As most of you know, Fionn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia a week after his 4th birthday. Thanks to incredible research and an amazing team of doctors at Children's National, Fionn completed his 3.5 years of treatment in October 2017. He has been cancer-free for over 4 years now. We are beyond grateful and want to pay our gratitude forward.

Since our first lemonade stand in 2014, we have raised a total of $16,000 to benefit pediatric cancer research. Let's make this another banner year! I have set the bar high -- $4000. Last year we nearly hit the mark. The year before we surpassed it. I KNOW this year we can do it.

This year's stand is in honor of our buddy, Mason Mazzuca, who passed away in March 2018. Mason's family is strong and passionate, and they are determined that the future will be better for pediatric cancer patients. Let's help them with their mission.
