I AM TEAMING UP AGAIN THIS SEASON WITH KICK-IT TO HELP CURE CHILDHOOD CANCER
During my 2016 & 2017 seasons I raised $6,458 for children's cancer research!
$2,000 funds 1 week of research...Thanks to the generosity of my supporters I have funded over 3 weeks of research to help find cures for kids with cancer!
2 summer ago I was at a Kohls football kicking camp in Wisconsin. At this camp both Sam Foltz (Nebraska Punter) and Mike Sadler (Michigan State Punter) were mentors to me teaching me how to achieve my goals both on and off the field. Later that night both Sam and Mike were in a tragic car accident. Both Sam and Mike sadly passed. Colby Delahoussaye (LSU Kicker) was also in the car with them, and he survived the crash. I then decided to take action and learned from Sam and Mike’s unique effort to help those in their communities. Therefore I started Kick It For Cancer in their honor. I then decided to take it a step further to do what I could to help my community as best I could. I met with a few other cancer foundations and decided to help raise money with wristbands for children with cancer or disabilities. We then decided to take some of these kids with cancer or disabilities and they have rode bikes on the field while I was walking with them to help raise money for their foundations. When I first saw these kids on the field with disabilities or cancer I knew that this is what Sam and Mike did, and it shall always be continued.
Ever since Sam and Mike’s passing I have worn their names on my wrist and will continue to through my college football career to remind myself how special these men were in their communities. Through all of this I have become great friends with Colby Delahoussaye and we have both decided to impact our communities as best we could like Sam and Mike did before us. My Westminster Christian Academy coaches, and my two coaches that I am blessed to train with in St. Louis, David Brader and Neil Rackers both former NFL players have driven me to work hard and to do it for the right reasons. I have talked with many top college kickers across the nation hoping to lead these foundations and grow them as best we can. I pray for our community no matter how much brokenness is happening around us to help rise above our differences and to help make a real difference and inspire others as leaders.
Therefore I am making my season count by raising money for children's cancer research in honor of Mike Sadler and Sam Foltz.
Sam and Mike have both have made positive impacts in their communities and in my life. They both shared their college football experiences and helped instruct and inspire many aspiring kickers including myself. I am dedicating my fundraiser to honor their spirit in making a difference in the community by helping to eradicate cancer in children's lives. Please keep their families in your prayers, they will be sadly missed.
