I learned this past friday that my longtime friend Carrie Helprin was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer five weeks ago. I met Carrie in 2001 when we worked together at the Metro North DMH as case managers.  One thing I know about my good friend is that she is a fighter. Carrie has started chemotherapy at OHSU in Portland, OR and the least I can do to help in the fight is to race in her honor. So, Im running the annual Mt. Toby 14 miler trail race in Sunderland, MA on sunday morning Oct. 21st at 9:30am for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.  You can join me by making a donation right to this page.
