Thank you for visiting my Lemonade Stand page! Mark and I recently learned about the amazing story and cause of Alex’s lemonade stand. When our friends told us about Alex’s Lemonade Stand they shared a very personal story about their 4 yr old daughter Payton, who is just about the same age as our own daughter. Payton was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma as an infant. In the short time that I have come to know them, I am continually impressed by their courage and resilience especially Payton’s. Even though I was not going to participate in another fundraising run until next year, I found Alex’s story to be remarkable. As for Payton who is now cancer free, It was very hard to turn down the chance to participate in the Lemon Run to benefit childhood cancer. I not only wanted to do this for Payton, but also so another child with cancer could be cancer free someday too. I will always be grateful to my friends for sharing their story and opening our eyes to such a beautiful cause.
