I am so excited to be running my first marathon as a member of the Alex’s Lemonade Stand NYC Marathon team with my dad, Mark, running alongside me!  

Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a nonprofit organization dedicated to leading the fight against childhood cancer. Every donation goes to funding the research needed to find a cure for childhood cancer. They also help to support families currently affected by this life-altering disease.

My niece and my dad’s first granddaughter, Maci, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2012 at the age of one. Watching her face two years of chemo, hospital stays, side effects and procedures with such bravery motivates and inspires us to run this marathon and raise money so that other children and families don’t have to endure the same hardship.
