2019 ILWU Walk the Coast Fundraiser
 

Last year ILWU Walk the Coast surpassed $500,000 in total donations!  But there is more work to be done.  Childhood cancer viciously strikes without regard to ethnicity or economic status.  Each $50.00 raised pays for one hour of important research.

To help us reach our fundraising goal  we are holding ILWU Walk the Coast events in Los Angeles and Port Hueneme.  The first of these events is our

8th Annual Texas Hold' em Poker Tournament Thursday, October 17, at the Garden's Casino.  

You, your family and friends are cordially invited to play. All proceeds go to ALSF.

Why ILWU Walk the Coast was founded

The story of ILWU Walk the Coast would not be complete without the story of Alexandra "Alex" Scott. The story of Alexandra “Alex”Scott is the story of a beautiful life stolen by childhood cancer. Alex would have celebrated her 23rd birthday this year. 

Before her life was cut short at age 8, her selfless dedication to find cures for childhood cancer raised $1,000,000. Alex’s spirit lives through her “Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation” (ALSF) that provides support for cancer research and families battling childhood cancer.
