This September, I will Be Bold & Go Gold during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by participating in The Million Mile.  Every day, there are almost 700 new cases of childhood cancer around the world. This adds up to an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 each year worldwide. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded with less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.

In December of 2018, Lydia was diagnosed with Intermediate Risk Ganglioneuroblastoma (a less aggressive form of Neuroblastoma). During this journey, we've learned a lot about Neuroblastoma. We've heard about a lot of new treatments and trials that are showing some promise, but for the High Risk children, the rates of relapse are still very high and the treatments incredibly harsh. We have requested that the money we raise will go towards funding Neuroblastoma grants/research. Thank you for your support.
