Three years ago while in 3rd grade at the Discovery School in South Buffalo, Shannon Lynch and Brittany Penders decided that having a lemonade stand was a great way to raise money for kids who were battling cancer. These girls gathered up their friends and all of them in yellow bandanas set out to serve the most lemonade possible at the Irish Feis in Cazoniva Park. Last year the girls developed a delivery system for the crowd at the park so they didn't have to leave there chairs to get a taste of the best lemonade in town.
This year the date is set for Saturday, September 12th . South Buffalo has always pulled through when there is someone in need and we don't expect this year to be any different. The money raised has been utliized to fund over 100 cutting-edge research projects, create a travel program to assist families who need to travel for treatment, and develop resources to help everyone touched by childhood Cancer.
Please plan on stopping by for a cup of lemonade, some good Irish music and good people.
