Just before her first birthday my daughter, Brooklyn, was diagnosed with stage 4 high risk Neuroblastoma. She has had numerous rounds of chemo, immunotherapy, surgeries and so many tests I cannot count. Rare mutations in her tumor almost made it impossible to treat until we were able to find another similar case.  My daughter only has a chance because of another little girl’s fight and her family’s continued dedication to research.  After being inpatient for 6 months, we were able to finally go home for a few weeks at a time. Brooklyn’s fight has now taken her from California to New York where she has been treated for the last year.  At this point Brooklyn has been in treatment for almost 2 years and she still has more to go. 

Between our time in California and in New York we have met so many families affected by pediatric cancer.  Several of  Brooklyn’s friends are no longer with us and more have relapsed. We need more awareness and money to fight these cancers that invade and destroy our children’s bodies.
