Cancer at any age is a horrible ordeal, and we have experienced the loss of many beloved family members and friends to this disease. But it's all the more devastating when it attacks a precious child. We have had several friends whose children have battled cancer. My friend Beth Robertson's son, Cameron, was seriously ill with cancer and thankfully he is now 12 years old and celebrating 10 years cancer free. What an incredibly brave young man! Another friend Lisa Famous lost her son Shane to cancer when he barely two years old. I still remember the pain in the eyes of all those parents, especially Lisa. I want to be part of the solution........we need to find a cure so no parent will ever have that look in their eyes.
