Third graders in room 106 at Oaks Elementary School is getting involved because we want to help the community. Our school's theme this year is "Pay It Forward," which encourages everyone to do things simply for the goodness of human nature. Students learn a lot academically from their teachers, but I also want to teach my students how important it is to help others. I feel that this will be an excellent experience for children because it will teach them empathy for others and show them that everyone can make a difference in a little way. My goal for my students is that they will want to "Pay It Forward" because it's the right thing to do. We are very optimistic that our fundraiser will be a success! ALL proceeds will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.
