One night, as I checked on Joey before I climbed into my bed, I found a simple sign he had drawn that said "Help kids that has (sic) cancer." When he woke up the next morning we talked a little bit about what he hoped to do. He said that he always wanted to have a lemonade stand and donate the money to Alex's Lemonade Stand. That day, without any real plan, he asked his teacher if they could sell lemonade in school and donate the money to ALS. His wonderful teacher said she thought it was a nice idea but he'd need to talk to his principal. He told his best friend what he'd like to do and they both rallied a few friends and spoke with their principal. She agreed that it was a wonderful idea and is allowing them to hold a little lemonade stand this week and next. I'm not sure how much we can raise in just a few hours, in a school, but every penny helps.
If you have a dollar or two to spare, would you please donate it to Joey's classroom stand?
Alex's dream was a simple one and to carry on her legacy is an easy thing to do. Joey is in third grade, he and the other children in his class also think it's an easy thing to do. Please help support them.
