I know that some of you know I am very involved with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and have a strong passion for the work they do. Over the past few years I have actually developed a great relationship with Liz Scott (CEO of ALSF and Alex’s mom) so I wanted to reach out to her in order to find out how all of this is affecting the organization and the families they support. Not only are they losing out on money to fund important research because fundraising events cannot happen, but they also have plenty of families that are under extreme financial distress in addition due to lost wages.  Can you imagine how incredibly painful it must be for these families right now?!?! I cannot…ALSF is helping by providing grocery support, extended stays in hotels , and/or travel support for hundreds of families.
