Every day, there are almost 700 new cases of childhood cancer around the world. This adds up to an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 each year worldwide. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded with less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year. I chose to have a lemonade stand this year for our dear friend Avery Ellis who had wilms tumor this year.  I can't imagine the FIGHT that Avery and her family went through to beat this, so I want to do what I can to bring awareness to childhood cancer and help continue research so children do not need to suffer and fight and can ust be KIDS. All donations from my Lemonade stand will go directly to the research of wilms.  THANK YOU!
