Did you know that cancer is the leading cause of death by disease for children who live in the United States? Or that everyday in the US 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. And even despite these staggering statistics, childhood cancer research receives only 4% of the annual budget from the National Cancer Institute. This is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable! Children who are fighting cancer and their families deserve so much more. These children are brave, resilient, amazing people who deserve so much more than 4%! No child should have to spend their days hooked up to an IV in the hospital and no parent should have to hear the words your child has cancer. Please join me in going gold this month for childhood cancer awareness.
