When
When I was 5.5 years old I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Nephroblastoma, which meant there was a softball sized cancerous tumor enveloping my left kidney. After radiation treatment, surgery, and chemotherapy I was declared cancer free nearly eleven years ago. I then recognized my mission in life is to help other kids battling pediatric cancer.
At eight years old, I began sharing my story, raising funds, and inspiring those going through their fights. Four years later, I began traveling nationwide for speaking engagements, raising awareness, providing hope, and presenting research grants to over 40 hospitals. I also have had the opportunity for the past five years to speak on Capitol Hill with legislators and share the importance of increased federal pediatric cancer research funding, vital pieces of legislation, and how Washington D.C. can champion this cause.
It would mean the absolute world to me for you to contribute to Alex's Lemonade Stand Million Mile (every dollar makes a difference)! I believe that there will be a day where no child will ever have to hear the words "you have cancer" and I would love for you to be a part of it!
