Every day, there are almost 700 new cases of childhood cancer around the world. This adds up to an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affecting children under the age of 20 each year worldwide. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.
When he was 3.5 years old, our son William was one of those affected. We fought a long, hard nine month battle with Stage IV Anaplastic Wilms Tumor but ultimately William went to his heavenly home in August of 2018. It is our family's dream that in the future no family has to go through what we did.
Today, the money you donate has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of kids with cancer (and their families). Your donation will go to research into better and safer treatments and more cures, specifically for Wilms Tumor.
