We are over half way through Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and excited to introduce Georgetown policies! Georgetown University School of Medicine is starting in person classes this semester with all students, faculty and staff being vaccinated for COVID19, with limited exceptions; Toretsky and Uren labs are back to 100% capacity with all lab members fully vaccinated and wearing masks indoors. Research will continue in our facilities with many thanks to the Nathan's Cancer Slayers team! Keep up the amazing work.

Special Announcement! Volvo Match days begin tomorrow, September 9! From the 9th through the 12th, your online donations can have double the impact thanks to Volvo! This is a great opportunity to ask friends and family to support the team. Contributions continue to bring about advances in childhood cancer research; a new drug that was discovered by the Toretsky and Uren labs in 2009 has moved onto Phase 2 clinical trials for patients with relapsed Ewing sarcoma! Every dollar can make a difference in the lives of kids with cancer.

Thanks for all you do, Nathan's Cancer Slayers!

What an amazing start to Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! We need your help now, more than ever, due to the effects of COVID-19. Pandemic related supply chain issues are affecting the availability of critical reagents, chemicals, and tools but the research goes on. Thank you for helping us continue finding new and better treatments!

Thanks to Nathan’s Cancer Slayers for all of your hard work! Due to the dedication and fundraising of supporters like you, the Toretsky lab has two new members joining the team, Abigail Moskov and Olivia Oakley to continue the much needed research for childhood cancer research!

Also, summer students Olivia Blumberg and Caroline Light have signed up to fight childhood cancer. They started their lab adventure by memorizing all the 20 amino acids that build proteins!

Keep up the great work, team!
