This year we are donating in honor of Lily Weeks. She is 4 and still fighting. Lily was diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February 2021 and is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy. Lily's journey started in October when she was experiencing extreme joint pain and fatigue. In November Lily spiked high fever bringing her to OSHEI Children's Hospital where she remained for 2 weeks and was misdiagnosed with juvenile arthritis. When those treatments failed the hospital later ran more tests leading to a bone marrow biopsy resulting in the devastating call the Lily had cancer. They started treatment immediately which includes a month at the hospital for aggressive chemo treatments. Lily has been getting spinal cord taps to monitor the Leukemia and has a med port placed for easier access to medicine that will stay in for years to come. This is just the beginning of a long journey to recovery.
