Zevy would like to spread the word that September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month and is holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! You can join the fight to cure pediatric cancer by swinging by the yellow house on the 18th hole of Heathrow for homemade lemonade, cookies, or muffins or making a donation right to this page. NO donation is too small! The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Zevy is doing this for his bar mitzvah project in honor of his 12 yr old cousin, Cristiano, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) last October.
Alex is the inspiration behind Alex's Lemonade Stand Foubdation (ALSF). Alexandra "Alex" Scott was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, before her first birthday. At the age of 4, Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help fund a cure for all children with cancer. Later, she set an ambitious fundraising goal -$1 million -and with the help of other kids and adults, she reached it!
The ALSF Grant Program funds research every step of the way-from early stage innovative research all the way through to lifesaving clinical trials for kids with cancer. ALSF's initiatives are having an impact on research worldwide-the ALSF Childhood Cancer Data Lab and the upcoming Crazy 8 Initiative are bringing together the brightest minds from around the globe to fight childhood cancer.
Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month!
