Date Deceased: October 9, 2022
Memorial Service/Celebration of Life Information:Mary E Forst (nee Bolger), 90, of Rydal, PA passed away on October 9, 2022. She was proceeded by her loving husband Stanley. She was a devoted mother to Bob, Marianne Checchia (Thomas), Patrick (Marikay), Michael (Elizabeth) and Theresa Hartey (Joseph). She was the dedicated sister of Annie McCoy, and the late John, Patrick, Francis and Julia.
Mary was always teaching her family members about life, and to be kind and thoughtful. She was a true champion for each of her children and grandchildren.
She loved her Philadelphia and Notre Dame sports teams and her family members enjoyed watching games with her or chatting about the outcome after a game. She often rose to the top of her family football and basketball pools. Over the years, she loved to cheer on her family members pursuing their talents and dreams. When watching games, she was often the loudest advocate in the gym for her child/grandchild.
Mary was humble, intelligent, had a remarkable memory, and was an excellent listener. She was a confidant and advisor for her family members and friends, and helped many through life challenges.
For many years, Mary and her sisters enjoyed spirited Jeopardy games with extended family.
Some of Mary’s fondest memories were spent at the Jersey Shore with her husband, family and friends.
The grandkids have fond memories of sleepovers, mac and cheese, and sweet treats at Mom Mom’s house. She had a unique relationship with each of her grandchildren, and was able to have great conversations with them on a variety of topics that meant something special to each person.
While she will be deeply missed, her strong faith and life’s lessons will stay with us. We are comforted to know that she is back with her loving husband Stanley who is enthusiastically whisking her around heaven to show her all of its grandeur!
