Welcome to The Merry Mob!

Now in our 9th year of raising money for Alex's, we are a group of family and friends who wanted to help.  We knew that we had big goals, and that reaching them might be hard, but then we've already seen what hard really is...

On May 10, 2012, then-3 year old Meredith (Merry) was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). We, like so many other families with children diagnosed with cancer, learned what hard really is. It is chemo, and radiation and losing your hair. It is not being able to play outside, or go to the park, walk up stairs, or even eat. It is watching a child you love suffer through all of this with more strength than you thought was humanly possible. By comparison, couldn't we try these things we thought were hard? And couldn't we try to help raise some money to support childhood cancer research while we do it?

And so, the Merry Mob was formed, lead by Meredith's mother, Megan.  With siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, we have will continue to raise money for this wonderful organziation. This year, The Merry Mob will again participate in a number of upcoming events to support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, and raise awareness about childhood cancer. Previous events have included triathlons, half marathons, and of course, Lemonade Stands.  This fall we Kristen, Jillian and Evan are racing in the the Marshman Sprint Triathlon in Downington, PA.  

Marshman Sprint Triathlon  This year Jillian and Evan will join their friend Hannah as they race the relay version of this sprint triathlon. Hannah will swim 1/2 mile, Jilli will bike 12 miles and Evan will run 3.1 miles.  This will be their first time racing at these distances!  Kristen will also race the full sprint tri. The race will take place Sunday, September 26 in Downington, PA.  We are so excited!
