On 7/31/16, I arrived at Rivendell. I have now run/walked more than 458 miles since 2/20/16. This morning is was 75 degrees outside with the humidity being 84%. I had a really hard run and needed to stop running at 6 miles to walk for a bit and then ran the final 3 miles for a total of 9 miles running. I'm sure to log in another few miles from walking today, but the good news is that I hit my goal of at least 9 miles.

Attached to this post is a picture of Karakung creek. I was about 4.5 miles into my run when I stopped to take a quick picture of the rushing rapids. Last night we had heavy rain and the banks of the creek are near overflowing.

With my first goal achieved, I've now "left" Rivendell and have started toward my favorite location in Middle Earth--Lothlorien (the magical forest of the elves). Wish my luck!
