Well, I completed my first 10k (Peachtree Road Race) on a hot July 4 in Atlanta! Having lived here for 20+ years, I've always wanted to do it, but never thought I actually would. Completed it in about 1:09 officially, but it was closer to 1:06 actually (I was stopped for at least 3 minutes right before the finish line because they were treating someone for a heart attack (he survived)). Anyway, I felt great finishing and it gave me a lot of confidence that I'll be able to be up to the half marathon when the time comes. Less than 6 months now!
