An update on my cousin Alex, written by my Aunt Karen:

Alex's tumor is growing fast. Right now our first concern is his carotid artery. Because his tumor is surrounded around the artery. Which means we need to put a stint by his carotid artery to move the tumor away from the artery. Because if it erupted it would be real bad.
Also his tumor in the jaw is very big. When Alex was first diagnosed his jaw bone was gone. It was replaced with a leg bone. That on the right side is almost gone. That and the size of the tumor is causing much pain.
So we are doing a low dose 5 day radiation just for pain management. It should take away the pain in his jaw.
His headaches are more frequent many because he can't move his neck because of the tumor in his neck. Which makes the neck stiff. When the neck gets stiff it causes pain to go up the back of the head causing a headache on his forehead.
The frontal bone which protects the brain. The tumor has been eating away at this bone. If we don't slow the tumor down. It will get to his brain.
We now know he has myoephithelial tumor.
There is also an option of a low dose chemo we may try. We haven't decided yet.
We are encouraged to do what he wants to do. If it hurts or he doesn't want to do it. Because of the amount of pain and everything he's going through he will not have to. This includes school work too.
Please continue to pray for Alex his pain and that its controlled.
