Team "Proclaimers 3" has raised an amazing $7,300 for Alex's Million Mile with their creative and fun fundraising. This is their third year as part of Alex's Million Mile. The team's name came from the band The Proclaimers, whose hit song's lyric, "I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more" seemed fitting for the distance - almost 4,000 miles so far! - that the team is logging during Alex's Million Mile. 

The team kicked off their fundraising earlier in the year with an online "Save it or Shave it" contest. They asked friends and family to donate to the team's page and include a comment about whether Schmidt's beard should stay or go (it went!). They followed that up with a successful Corn Hole (Baggo) tournament. In exchange for a tournament entry fee, attendees got half-priced appetizers, drink specials and the chance to show off. They also hosted a fun karaoke fundraiser.

The team is participating in honor of Giulianna Troiano, nicknamed "Giulianna the Brave." Giulianna has been fighting neuroblastoma since she was only 9 months old. She is pictured in stylish karaoke wear!.
