Thank you to all who attended and supported the
2013 Camp In for Kids’ Cancer!

A little rain and drizzle couldn’t dampen the spirits of more than 170 adults and children who attended the Camp In on May 18-19 and channeled their inner NFL player for the evening. Guests played on the field; toured the locker rooms; met Philadelphia Eagles players, cheerleaders and beloved mascot (Swoop); slept over at the stadium and supported Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer. Thanks to all who attended and fundraised, more than $36,000 was raised that will help to support pediatric cancer research projects.

Guests arrived and quickly set up their tents inside the stadium, or on the actual field for sponsors and top fundraisers, before heading onto the field usually restricted to the players and personnel. A cookout style dinner was next, but was quickly overshadowed by the appearance of Philadelphia Eagles players Emmanuel Acho, Kurt Coleman, Clay Harbor and Brandon Hughes who led a series of fun exercises on the field that had the kids running, catching and perfecting their own end zone celebrations. Despite a misty rain - the players graciously signed autographs and took photos with all guests. Player Jamar Chaney also stopped by to play video games with members from top fundraising team, Team Roc-Ade.  

A movie, popcorn, ghost stories and an inspiring message from childhood cancer hero Dan Hammond rounded out the evening before everyone headed back to their tents and called it a night.
