Welcome to our Grand Stands!

An Alex's Lemonade Grand Stand is a large lemonade stand event that focuses on bringing an entire community together in an effort to raise thousands of dollars for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Grand Stands include fun activities for the whole family, meaningful ways to support the cause, and of course, lots of lemonade!

Grand Stands rely on the effortls of individuals, businesses and communities to help make a big difference in the lives of families affected by cancer.

If you love holding stands, and bringing people together for a cause, we encourage you to take it to the next level by holding a “Grand Stand” in the fight against childhood cancer.

This will be the first year the Torres family will be joining ALSF as Grand Stand hosts.  Their stand will be held on September 18, 2010 and will feature face painters, carnival games, a bounce house/slide, and Radio Disney!  The Torres family fundraises in honor of their daughter Brinley, a childhood cancer fighter!

Puckett Family Grand Stand

Murfreesboro, TN
Visit fundraising page for more details This year, the Puckett Grand Stand will take place during the Murfreesboro, TN Half Marathon and Middle Half Fun Run for kids, which was voted as one of Murfreesboro's best events in 2009.  The Puckett Family and Friends will be sponsoring a watering station on the course with a yellow ALSF tent and volunteers.  The ALSF Grand Stand will be advertised on the marathon map and website as a sponsoring water station.  They are also planning to have runners in the marathon in Team Alex gear-an adult team and a kids’ fun run team.  After the marathon, the Puckett Family and Friends will meet at a nearby location to hold their lemonade stand and honor their runners with ALSF gold and yellow medallions.

Rissolo Family Grand Stand

San Diego, CA

Visit fundraising page for more details On May 15 & 16, 2010, Dominique Rissolo and Zoë Abrahams hosted their Sixth annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand in loving memory of their son Lorenzo “Enzo” Rissolo. At the age of sixteen months, Lorenzo not only fought this terrible disease, but inspired hope that one day the suffering of those in similar circumstances could end.

Engelhardt Grand Stand

Visit fundraising page for more detailsThe Engelhardt family held its fourth annual Grand Stand at the Rose Garden in Bethlehem, PA on May 22 & 23, 2010.  The Engelhardts brought the community together by hosting their annual carnival-type event, which included the participation of Star Wars characters! Since the Engelhardts started hosting their Grand Stand in 2007, they have raised over $42,000!

On May 22, 2010, Publix supermarkets throughout Jacksonville, Florida were taken over by Alex’s Lemonade Stands! The lemonade stands in Jacksonville originated when the Rak family decided to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer after their daughter Lina battled the disease. Though the Raks have moved out of the area, the YMCA Adventure Guides and Princesses continue what they started. Lemonade for the stands has graciously been donated by Pepsi.  This year they raised over $12,600!

Kansas City Grand Stand

Greater Kansas City Metro Area

Visit fundraising page for more details On June 4 & 5, 2010, residents of the Kansas City metro area showed their support for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation by hosting lemonade stands throughout the community. Local businesses, families and community groups, in association with Hy-Vee, The Kansas City Royals and several other Kansas City Area Businesses raised awareness and funds in the battle against childhood cancer through their stands.  This year the Kansas City efforts surpassed the $500,000 raised mark in just 5 years.

Huscroft Family Grand Stand

Kent, OH

Visit fundraising page for more details On June 5, 2010, the Huscroft family hosted their sixth annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand. Hosting stands throughout Portage and Summit County, and even one in Georgia, the community pulled together to raise nearly $75,000 in 5 years! The Huscroft family began holding their lemonade stands after hearing the story of Alexandra “Alex” Scott at the Kentucky Derby in 2004. Just before walking out the door to go to the races, they heard the story of Alex and her connection to the Kentucky Derby contender, Afleet Alex. With four healthy children at home, the family was thankful for their good fortune, but wanted to get involved. They have been coordinating successful community-wide events ever since!

Salerno Grand Stand

Somerset, NJ

Visit fundraising page for more details In 2006, the Villagers Theater group in Somerset, NJ turned their concession stand at the show into an Alex's Lemonade Stand. In 2008 and 2009, they expanded their efforts to include the entire month of June and sold paper lemons, lemonade and other “lemon focused” merchandise throughout the entire run of their June show. In 2009, three other community theater groups joined the cause as well. Together, these NJ Community theaters have raised over $3,000.  On June 11, 2010, the theater group had even more theaters join as they became a Grand Stand with fundraising goal of $10,000!

Johnson Family Grand Stand

Hershey, PA

Visit fundraising page for more details On June 12, 2010, the Johnson family hosted their fifth annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand in honor of their daughter Emma. Along with lemonade and Rita’s Water Ice, the Johnson Family Grand Stand included a bounce house, magic and clown shows, a dunk tank, coloring and crafts, spin art, and more. The day also included raffles, an ALSF merchandise store, a DJ and for the third consecutive year, a butterfly release.  This year they raised $9000 at the stand with close to another $11,000 in sponsors and outside donations totaling almost $20,000!

Dilworth Family Grand Stand

Atlantic Beach, FL
Visit fundraising page for more details On June 12, 2010, the Dilworth family hosted their 5th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand at the Selva Marina Country Club in Atlantic Beach, FL.  Along with lemonade and snow cones, the Dilworth Family Grand Stand included various family friendly activities for children of all ages.  Among the activities: face painting, a silent auction, coloring and crafts, a bounce house, balloons, a visit from the local fire department!  Since 2006, the Dilworths and their friends have raised nearly $20,000!

Taggart Family Grand Stand

Irvine, CA

Visit fundraising page for more details On June 12, 2010, the Irvine Spectrum played host to the Taggart family’s 6th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand in memory of their son John Kelly Taggart. The day was complete with balloon animals, face painting, the Orange County Fire Authority Fire Engines, and of course lemonade!

Baxter Family Grand Stand

Visit fundraising page for more details On Saturday, June 12, 2010 three families who have each been touched by childhood cancer hosted their Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand during the Foundation’s National Lemonade Days weekend. The Baxter Grand Stand is a collective effort of three families who have each personally been touched by childhood cancer. Brad and Lorie Lower's daughter, Louise; Geoff and Heather Lux’s son, Austin; and Scott and Jennifer DeNobile’s son, Vincent were all diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a type of childhood cancer. The fact that Louise, Austin, and Vincent are all healthy is nothing short of miraculous, and the families continue to look for ways to fight the deadly disease. In total since first holding their first lemonade stand in 2005, the Baxter families have raised over $40,000.

Hollway Family Grand Stand

Visit fundraising page for more details On June 13, 2010 the Hollway family hosted their 6th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand at the Mall of America in honor of their daughter Molly Hollway, who is a childhood cancer survivor. In the past, the day has included two performances by Studio 4, Molly’s dance group on the Rotunda Stage; and a silent auction.  The Hollways have raised over $20,000.

Miller Family Grand Stand

Bowling Green, KY
Visit fundraising page for more details On July 10, 2010, the Miller family of Bowling Green, Kentucky along with many volunteers throughout Warren County hosted their 6th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand. The Bowling Green Alex’s Lemonade Stand Day is held in honor and memory of the families in the area who have been touched by childhood cancer. Riley Miller, the eldest daughter of the Miller family, held her first Alex’s Lemonade Stand in 2005 in memory of her baby brother Reid and later in memory of her baby brother Randon. Many other children joined her that year to honor loved ones and it became a citywide event. This year was a record year for the Millers, raising close to $25,000.  In total, the Bowling Green Grand Stand has brought in over $115,000!

Miller Family Grand Stand

San Diego, CA
Visit fundraising page for more details On July 10, 2010, the Miller family in San Diego hosted their 5th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stand in honor of all children who have fought and continue to fight pediatric cancer. Along with lemonade and FM 94.9 broadcasting live, the Miller Family Grand Stand included a silent auction, coloring and crafts, spin art, balloons and much more. In the past, the day has also included live acoustic music from local San Diego bands and giveaways from RUSTY Surf Company. The Miller family has raised over $36,000!

Saints Peter and Paul Youth Group Grand Stand

On August 14, 2010 Maryann Quinn and the Saints Peter and Paul Youth Group will hold their annual lemonade stand at the Schiel's Family Market - Parsons Section of Wilkes Barre, PA.  Last year the group raised over $11,000.  The Youth Group has been hosting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Grand Stands since 2006 and has raised over $46,000 in total!
