Celebrating 10 Years of Support!
This will be Hy-Vee’s 10th year supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation through participation in Midwest Lemonade Days. Join us to celebrate the 10th year of Hy-Vee’s support on May 31 and June 1, 2013 from 10am to 6pm.
Since 2004, Hy-Vee Supermarkets in Kansas and Missouri have held Alex’s Lemonade Stands as part of Midwest Lemonade Days, raising more than $750,000 to fight childhood cancer.
Like Alex and her first lemonade stand, Midwest Lemonade Days started small and grew. One Hy-Vee store’s support for a local family has blossomed into a community effort throughout Kansas and Missouri. In addition to hosting lemonade stands throughout the year, Hy-Vee has championed children affected by childhood cancer through marketing initiatives and sponsorships, including partnerships with the Kansas City Royals and 7-Up Bottling. It is through this relationship that Alex Gordon of the Kansas City Royals, a 2012 Roberto Clemente Award nominee, became a supporter of ALSF.
From one store’s efforts, the community and region have shown tremendous support of ALSF. Join us for Midwest Lemonade Days 2013!
