2010 Workshop

Inspired by Alex’s nurse, Patricia Brophy, this workshop is dedicated to Pat and her commitment to the pediatric oncology nursing field.  During the two-day workshop novice nurse researchers will work on refining their research questions, gain knowledge about how to work with their institutions, practice disseminating research findings and will apply these new skills by completing a mock grant application.

Who: Novice pediatric oncology nurse researchers

When: October 6 & 7, 2011

Where: Loews Hotel, Philadelphia, PA

Why: ALSF is committed to helping pediatric oncology nurse researchers pursue ideas which will immediately and substantially impact the lives of children with cancer.

Cost: ALSF will cover the cost of the hotel (up to two nights) and meals during the conference.  ALSF will also reimburse travel expenses up to $500.

Continuing Education Units (CEU): Working with our friends at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, ALSF will be able to offer CEUs for the two days.
