Every year, 5th grade students at West Terrace Elementary look forward to participating in our annual Wax Museum of Legendary Leaders. Madalynn Acker, a student this school year, was no different. It wasn't until she started researching inspirational people from around the world, that she found what she calls: "A way I can help others who have to deal with cancer." After losing her own mother to this disease, she realized that just like Alex, she could do more. Madalynn was inspired by Alex's story to go beyond the scope of our biography essays and presentations; she wanted to honor both Alex and her own mother, and bring the lemonade stand to life! Driven to make real change, Madalynn and the 5th grade students at West Terrace are holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! You can join us in making a difference by helping us spread the word about childhood cancer and cancer research, by attending this event, or making a donation right to this page. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
