ALSF Announces New Appointments To Board Of Directors

Philadelphia, PA (September 2011) – Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is proud to announce the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors. Marc Bruno, President ARAMARK Sports & Entertainment; Gianna Jackson, Executive Director of the Cigna Foundation; and Marc Summers, TV Host, Producer and Entertainer, have been appointed to the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is dedicated to helping grow and succeed in fulfilling the organization’s vision of finding a cure for childhood cancer. Members recognize the importance of staying true to Alex's front yard beginnings and they are committed to preserving the integrity and good will upon which Alex's Lemonade Stand is built.
            
As president of ARAMARK Sports & Entertainment, Marc Bruno is responsible for operations at more than 170 premier sports, entertainment and convention centers across North America. ARAMARK partners with arenas, ballparks and stadiums, convention centers and concert venues and more than 40 major league sports teams to deliver memorable guest experiences by designing industry-leading hospitality, dining and catering, retail merchandise and housekeeping and other related facility service programs.

Gianna Jackson has served as Executive Director of the Cigna Foundation since 2005. In that position, she has been instrumental in focusing the Foundation’s work on enhancing the health and well-being of individuals and families around the globe. Ms. Jackson has also helped guide the development of a number of programs enabling the health service company’s 30,000-plus employees to effectively engage in their communities through volunteerism. Additionally, she currently serves as Chair of the Conference Board's Contributions Council II and a member of the National Constitution Center's Corporate Council.

Marc Summers has been in television for over 30 years as a Host and Executive Producer. With his own production company, he has worked with networks, syndication and several companies including Nickelodeon and Food Network. He is responsible for such television shows as Double Dare, What Would You Do, Unwrapped, and the current hit, Restaurant Impossible. He is also frequently seen across the country making personal appearances. Marc Summers has been a vocal supporter of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation since 2005.
