In partnership with Learning to Lead, a national leadership training facilitator, we are thrilled to be sponsoring the first annual ALSF Leadership Academy based on Alex's inspiring example of how one person can make a difference. The ALSF Leadership Academy is a dynamic leadership camp for students, where participants learn key leadership skills in a fun setting. Participating students will learn how to become motivated leaders and make a difference in their own communities. 

What is the ALSF Leadership Academy?

The ALSF Leadership Academy is an exciting opportunity for students entering their junior and senior years to come together for a three day, two night leadership development program.   The program goals are to assist the participants with developing key skills so they can implement their goals and dreams. 

What is the ALSF Leadership Academy going to be like?

The ALSF Leadership Academy offers a free hands on experience, with activities, classroom sessions and workshops designed to teach students what it means to be a leader and how to use it to achieve their life goals.

Many students may already be leaders and use the program to improve their leadership skills. Others may come without leadership experience and leave with many ideas on how to be a leader in their schools and communities.

The program is facilitated and supervised by Learning to Lead, (www.learningtolead.org) a national nonprofit organization with years of experience in running leadership programs for students. 

The interactive program includes many smaller sessions where participants will have a chance to try out their new found skills and build friendships with the other ALSF Leadership Academy participants.  This is not a lecture series, so attendees should not plan on sitting a lot!

There will be a total of approximately sixty high school juniors and seniors admitted into the program.  It will be a great opportunity to build new friendships and a network of student leaders.  We encourage students from all over to apply. Dormitory lodging and meals are provided at Villanova University as part of this free leadership experience.
