About Elaine
Elaine’s life might have been short in years, but it was long in the number of people she touched during it. Family, friends, clients and anyone she came in contact with knew she was special. Elaine put their needs ahead of hers. As many friends have said, “She was one in a million.”
She had a smile that could light up the world and she beamed when she came in the room. She lived her life her way, and she lived it to the fullest, believing humans were meant to grow within themselves. She was a social worker that loved everyone she worked with and she was always there for them in times of need.
She knew how to connect with those she met and she made the world a better place. As a friend said, “She was God’s helper trying to heal the world one heart at a time.”
The daughter of Sam and Jean Wolberg, she is survived by her husband John Pastore, her brother Leonard Wolberg and his wife Roslyn, her son Allen Lerner and his wife Jennifer and grandchildren Lucas and Austin. She is also survived by her step-children John and Julie Pastore and Kate Pastore. Elaine’s daughter Alison predeceased her when she was only 4 years old leading her to focus much of her life on cancer charities.
She will be deeply missed by all. May her memory be a blessing as she has been an immeasurable blessing in so many lives.
