Kick-It, a program of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), is a national volunteer-driven organization focused solely on raising money for children's cancer research. Founded by a 10-year old cancer patient from Northeast Ohio who loves kickball, Kick-It events have been held across the country and as far away as Australia. Since its inception in 2005, ALSF has raised more than $150 million for pediatric cancer research.
Inspired by the Kick-It story, we as a school and community will join together to help find a cure for kids with cancer. This is an opportunity for us to show our support for our Rocky River families currently coping with children's cancer. Students will be teamed up by homeroom and encouraged to take ownership of this fundraising effort by creating individualized homeroom plans and ideas to raise research dollars.
All funds raised go directly to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research, a registered 501(c)3 charity. Careful distribution of our grants allows doctors to bring the latest and most promising life-saving treatments to seriously ill children. These grants provide hope for childhood cancer patients.
EVERY DAY 36 KIDS ARE DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER, NEARLY 2 CLASSROOMS FULL!
That is why we are asking for your help - to fund desperately needed research.
MORE RESEARCH = MORE LIVES SAVED
Help us KICK-IT this year and reach our goal of $6,000! It takes $2,000 to fund one week of research, help us fund 3 full weeks!!!
