When
In 2018 my Mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma, grade four cancerous brain tumor. It was an emotional battle for two years before she lost the battle to cancer in 2020. The last thing my mom said to me before she passed away was that she loved me and my hair is so soft. I will never forget that moment. When a daughter held her mom for the last time.
My mom also wrote me a note before she passed away telling me I would being holding my child in my arms soon. Soon after my mom passed away I became pregnant. I know without a doubt my mom gave me my first child and I know she is looking down on us right now smiling.
Why did I just share this snapshot of this story??? Because cancer sucks and after holding my son since day one I knew in my heart I never want anything bad to happen to him. I also know how devastating cancer can be and cannot imagine for one second the pain that families face when their child battles cancer.
My heart aches for any child battling cancer and I know that a cure is out there. Please help me take one step closer to find that cure for all the kids with cancer and those who will need a cure tomorrow! No family should have to hold their child for the last time.
Any amount can make a BIG difference!
